About the Role

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Food and Beverage Team Leader to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage presentation and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Maintain constant quality control of food and beverage presentation and standards throughout our outlets.
  • Menu Knowledge: Ensure detailed knowledge of our current wine and food menus, including abbreviations, and comprehensive knowledge of corporate and in-house promotions.
  • Service Delivery: Maintain and improve defined standards of both food and beverage service delivery.
  • Feedback and Training: Continually review feedback in conjunction with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to refine service delivery and exceed guest expectations.
  • Team Development: Maintain a focus on training and development of all team members to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
  • Promotional Activities: Implement promotional activities to maximize the generation of revenue.
  • Communication: Establish close working relationships with the Head Chef, Kitchen Brigade, and other departments to ensure effective communication and delivery of food products.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure requisitions are filled out correctly to meet operational needs and maintain par levels for all replacements and supplies.
  • Administration: Timely and accurate administration.
Requirements
  • Service Focused Personality: A service-focused personality is essential, with a passion for everything food and beverage.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a similar role with exposure to leading, motivating, and developing others is desirable.
  • Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Availability: Availability to work a flexible roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Knowledge: Strong coffee, food, and beverage knowledge.
