Key Role Summary:

A critical member of the HR team, this Senior People Professional will play a strategic role in supporting organizational goals related to people and capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement of the HR function through effective influencing and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide support nationally on industrial relations matters.
  • Lead enterprise agreement negotiations and prepare relevant documents.
  • Offer support and guidance to managers on complex performance issues, misconduct, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage end-to-end workplace investigations and grievance resolutions.
  • Drive process improvements through education and engagement with the team.
  • Promote change initiatives that impact employee engagement, culture, processes, systems, and leadership capability.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources and AHRI membership (desired).
  • Previous experience as a HR Business Partner, preferably in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with National Employment Standards and experience with awards/agreements.
  • Strong understanding of procedural fairness and natural justice in employee relations.
  • Familiarity with the Fair Work Act and its interactions with Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Able to lead and mentor HR Advisors, Officers, and Administrators.
  • Highly autonomous individual who can work independently without supervision.
  • Self-starter driven to exceed expectations and lead transformative change.
  • Exceptional communication skills for building trusted relationships with business leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen for practical problem-solving in complex situations.
