About the Role

The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia Qld & NT (IPWEA-QNT) is seeking a highly skilled Membership and Communications Officer to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional member support, increasing engagement, and growing awareness of all services and benefits offered to IPWEA-QNT's members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding member support, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage members and stakeholders, including creating content for various platforms.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to regional branch committees, ensuring agendas, minutes, and action items are managed effectively.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider team as required.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in Communications, Business Marketing, or equivalent experience in communications and/or administrative roles.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and member-centric approach, with a strong attention to detail.
  • An open, inclusive, and collaborative working style, with the ability to support a positive team environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience using CRM systems.
