About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Supervisor to join our team on a major Outback Zone Road Network contract.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful completion of the project, coordinating onsite construction activities, supervising the workforce, plant resources, and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Coordinate onsite construction activities to ensure timely completion of the project, in accordance with the approved scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Workforce Supervision: Supervise and lead a team of construction workers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Plant Resource Management: Manage plant resources, including heavy machinery and equipment, to ensure they are properly maintained, operated, and utilized to achieve project objectives.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential safety risks, develop and implement safety procedures, and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with Service Stream's management system procedures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the specified quality standards, and that any defects or non-conformities are promptly identified and rectified.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including Delivery Managers, HSEQ personnel, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent skills and knowledge).
  • Construction Experience: Site and construction experience, with knowledge of construction practices, design, and construction principles.
  • Specialized Skills: Specialized construction skills, competent in principles, guidelines, and developments, including laws and regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
