Outback Road Network Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our SA team on our Outback Zone Road Network contract.
In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality by coordinating onsite construction activities, supervising the DIT workforce, plant resources, and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties.
You will oversee the delivery of the Annual Renewal Works Program (ARWP) and Minor Capital Works (MCWs) and specific maintenance services. This role requires strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, as well as specialized construction knowledge and experience in construction practices, design, and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Service Stream management system procedures, including Plant Operator Assessments, verifies Daily Checklists, Weekly Checklists, and works with Permits where required.
- Deliver Toolboxes, briefings, and findings as and when required.
- Participate in the preparation of Safe Work Method Statements in conjunction with work crews in accordance with Service Stream management system procedures and ensure that all controls are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed.
- Immediately act on the resolution of issues as directed by the Delivery Managers and HSEQ personnel.
- Respond to ongoing communication with project personnel to control and anticipate issues.
- Monitor plant safety and identify safety hazards in respect of plant.
- Ensure all personnel are inducted and have been Toolboxed in the Safe Work Method Statements and have participated in a meeting for that activity.
- Promote a positive safety and environmental culture.
- Provide early notification of possible subcontractor claims and variations to Delivery Managers.
- Maintain co-operative working relationships with all parties, particularly DIT representatives, and take prompt and effective action on all DIT directions directed by the Delivery Managers.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent skills and knowledge), combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
- Site and construction experience and knowledge of construction practices, design, and principles.
- Specialized construction skills, competent in principles, guidelines, and developments, including laws and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Salary Estimate
Around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
