Job Overview

The role of a Payroll Compliance Specialist involves assisting with the implementation of current systems and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of end-to-end payroll improvement projects from concept to implementation, encompassing analysis, planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables aligned with organisational goals, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery on time, addressing potential challenges proactively.
  • Tracking project progress, creating status reports, and communicating updates to stakeholders and leadership, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • Partnering with system administrators and vendors to resolve issues, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of awards, EBAs, and payroll legislation, enabling effective compliance and risk management.
  • Experience with prior implementation projects, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Background in high-volume environments, showcasing expertise in handling complex payroll processes.
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience with large payroll sizes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
