Event Operations Manager

This role oversees day-to-day operations of construction zones during bump-in and bump-out, as well as during Tournament. It requires an active presence across the event build site, identifying safety concerns and risk issues that may require intervention or control.

About the Role
  • Coordinating with contractors, clients, staff, and event personnel regarding site procedures and venue restrictions and expectations.
  • Fostering a positive work environment onsite with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating plant, labour, and logistics for the completion of tasks during Bump-in, Event, and Bump-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing daily operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Maintaining open communication with all stakeholders to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Providing support in the development and implementation of operational strategies.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in operations management, preferably in the event industry.
  • Proven experience in contractor management and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Valid Construction Induction Card (or State or Territory equivalent).
  • Current Victorian Driver's license (desired)
  • Current Forklift license (desired)
