Job Opportunity: Events and Business Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Events and Business Support Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the core function of our team by providing business support and events coordination.

This role plays a key role in supporting our Aboriginal Staff Network and broader First Peoples employment initiatives. The position provides administrative support services to facilitate business operations and service delivery, including event planning, administrative services, and project delivery.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have experience in event planning and coordination, as well as knowledge of first peoples employment initiatives.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong understanding of the principles of Aboriginal cultural protocols. They will also need to demonstrate their ability to provide high-quality administrative support services and work effectively in a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support services to facilitate business operations and service delivery.
  • Support the First Peoples Employment and Development Branch, including event planning, administrative services, and project delivery.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in event planning and coordination, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of first peoples employment initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Aboriginal cultural protocols.
