
Cancer Care Specialist

This position supports the Cancer Care Coordinator to design and deliver a Model of Care toolkit that is culturally safe, practical, and responsive to community needs.
- Support the Cancer Care Coordinator in designing and implementing the Aboriginal Cancer Care Model of Care toolkit.
- Undertake project planning, coordination, and reporting to support service development.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, health providers, and Aboriginal communities to identify gaps and co-design solutions.
- Strengthen partnerships to improve integration of culturally safe cancer care services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A cultural connection to Tamworth and the surrounding Aboriginal community.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal health services and the barriers Aboriginal people may face when accessing care.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting project coordination, health program planning, or service development.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in health, social science, or community service.
