The Role of a Specialist Breast Care Nurse Consultant
Clinical Nurse Consultants specialise in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals affected by metastatic breast cancer. This role is ideal for those who wish to make a meaningful contribution to the development of clinical practice and provide education and support to patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Specialise in metastatic breast care as part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that meets the unique needs of each patient, prioritising their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
- Collaborate with other specialists to plan and deliver comprehensive care and education within the breast care pathway.
- A current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A minimum of five years' experience in breast cancer nursing, with a strong foundation in post-graduate qualifications in Breast Care Nursing.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
