An energetic and experienced leader is sought to oversee the daily operations of sports facilities, including tennis courts, mini-golf, and island gyms. This hands-on leadership role involves managing staff, driving fitness programs, and ensuring guests, members, and employees enjoy first-class fitness experiences.


The successful candidate will take responsibility for team rosters and facility upkeep, leading fitness classes, and developing engaging programs. This dynamic opportunity combines a passion for fitness, sport, and customer service with leadership and operational management in a unique destination.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of sports facilities, ensuring activities and facilities run smoothly and safely
  2. Coordinate staff rosters, inductions, and training so the team can deliver an outstanding guest experience
  3. Lead by example – running fitness classes, sports activities, and assisting with special events and group functions
  4. Maintain facilities including tennis, mini-golf, and gyms to ensure they are safe, well-presented, and welcoming
  5. Manage budgets, stock control, and reporting while monitoring compliance with safety and security guidelines
  6. Respond to guest enquiries and issues with professionalism and care, always aiming to exceed expectations
  7. Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to deliver a seamless island-wide guest experience

Requirements

You're a motivated and active leader with a genuine passion for fitness and sport, matched by strong people skills and the ability to run an operation with professionalism and flair. This role is ideal if you enjoy variety, thrive in a guest-focused environment, and want to combine your management ability with hands-on fitness delivery.


To be successful, you'll need:

  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness (Essential)
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR (Essential)
  • Current Drivers Licence (Essential)
  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a similar role (Desirable)
  • Qualified Yoga Instructor (Highly Desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
