Lead HR Operations in Australia

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage human resources operations across multiple locations in Australia. This role involves overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, and workforce planning.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR compliance, and the ability to travel for employee and stakeholder engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of HR functions, ensuring compliance with Australian labour laws and workplace regulations.
  • Manage a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality HR services and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with business leaders to design and implement employee engagement strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits and travel across Australia to engage with employees and support managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian labour laws, Fair Work Act, WHS legislation, and modern awards.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing HR teams.
  • Ability to travel within Australia for employee and stakeholder engagements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in multi-site or national HR management.
  • Exposure to HRIS systems and HR analytics.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Additional HR or employment law certifications will be advantageous.
