Plant Operator Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join our team on Hamilton Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant and machinery to ensure timely completion of projects and high standards of product quality and safety.

About the Role:

The Plant Operator will work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of tasks including road patching, traffic control, and general laboring duties. They will also be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of labour hours, machine hours, materials, and information required for work dockets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators, graders, and compactors as required.
  • Perform road maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in operating earthmoving equipment and plant equipment.
  • HR Truck License (Essential).
  • Construction White Card (Essential).
  • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) (Essential).
