Mechanic Specialist

Are you an experienced mechanic with excellent fault-finding ability, strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset?

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Specialist to join our Vehicle Workshop at Hamilton Island. As a Mechanic Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and machinery to ensure ongoing operational readiness.

You will support the safe and efficient maintenance of our extensive fleet – including buses, trucks, earthmoving plant, cranes and generating systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and machinery
  • Diagnosing faults and proactively preventing breakdowns
  • Supporting compliance with safety and regulatory standards across the fleet
  • Collaborating with a mechanical team that takes pride in high-quality, safety-first work
Requirements:
  • An Australian recognised trade qualification and minimum 4 years' post-trade experience
  • Hands-on experience with heavy vehicles including buses, trucks, cranes, earthmoving plant and generating equipment
  • A current driver's licence (Essential)
  • Ability to obtain and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Forklift licence (Desirable)
