Aviation Rescue Firefighter Role

The Aviation Rescue Firefighter is a critical member of our airport emergency response team.

  • Provide safety services at major airports across Australia
  • Respond to aircraft incidents, fires, and other emergencies with high-speed rescue vehicles
  • Maintain advanced equipment and fire stations
  • Develop first aid skills, offer fire safety advice, and prepare for any situation

This role demands exceptional physical and mental abilities to handle diverse challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond quickly and effectively to aircraft incidents and fires
  • Ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in optimal condition
  • Provide basic life support and offer fire safety guidance
  • Be prepared to respond to any emergency situation

As an Aviation Rescue Firefighter, you will receive comprehensive training and work with cutting-edge technology to ensure passenger safety, crew safety, and staff safety.

What We Require:
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • Senior secondary education certificate (Year 10/12)
  • Current driver's license (heavy rigid license eligibility)
  • Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or HTLAID014) at time of commencement
  • Pass a physical aptitude test and aviation medical assessment
  • Ability to work well under pressure, think critically, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
