Medical Equipment Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of medical devices.

Your primary focus will be on coordinating installation, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities for KARL STORZ medical equipment.

You will work closely with internal engineers, global technical teams, and external contractors to resolve customer issues efficiently.

In this role, you'll provide technical support and repair services both onsite and in-house.

You'll also ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality policies.

Additionally, you'll manage spare parts usage, documentation, and reconciliation accurately.

Prioritize and respond to customer technical inquiries promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate installation, preventative, and reactive maintenance of medical devices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electronics, electrical engineering or biomedical engineering are essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of biomedical equipment is preferred.
  • Strong electronic skills, including understanding common circuits and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and carry out fine electronic and mechanical repairs.
  • Fault-finding skills in technical equipment are highly regarded.
  • Understanding of hardware, including modules, power supplies, and control signal conventions.
  • Understanding of imaging acquisition, common video/audio signal types, hardware, and software modules is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, networking, and programming objectives.
