Seeking a motivated and experienced Chef Manager to lead our culinary team at Roseville Retirement Living, a well-established community in Doncaster East. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exquisite catering and hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all guests.

Job Overview

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 10am - 6.00pm. You will be working closely with the Community Manager and your team of hospitality staff to deliver outstanding service to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - overseeing hospitality services, providing guidance to your team and creating fresh ideas
  2. Work closely with your food & beverage team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions
  3. Monitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies
  4. Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
  5. Complete staff rostering, manage development & hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to customers
  6. Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues
Requirements
  • Experience in a casual dining kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
  • Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (required)
  • Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)
  • Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
