About the Role

Yooralla is seeking a passionate and experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our team in Endeavour Hills, Narre Warren. As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services to children with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy in people's homes, educational settings, or in the community to maximise a person's functional skills and participation.
  • Provide communication skills and/or mealtime safety and promote overall health and wellbeing.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.
  • Provide indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals.

About You

You will be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, be a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), and have good interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work in partnership with children with a disability to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person's supports, including their families.

Requirements

  • Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • The opportunity to build on your clinical practice, including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
  • Care for the work you do and for the people you work with.
  • Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Australian driver's licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across southern suburbs as required.
