Job Responsibilities

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or Social Work interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector. The role is available for both part-time and casual positions. We welcome new graduates to apply.

Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Case management, with manageable caseloads and the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes.
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals.
  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Requirements

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with either AHPRA, ASORC, ESSA, AASW, or relevant governing body.
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, with a focus on getting to know clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion and kindness, with empathy towards clients.
  • Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
