Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at MedHealth Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

About the Role

  • Provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients, including case management, assessment, and treatment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, employers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or with ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, compassion, kindness, and empathy.
  • Well-developed time management skills.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
