Health Advocate for Indigenous Communities

We are seeking a dedicated Health Advocate to join our team and make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team supporting First Nations people with heart disease, providing quality care, health awareness, education, and intervention strategies. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing support and advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families accessing services
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and services
  • Educating individuals and communities on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention

About the Role:

This role involves working in a nationally and internationally recognised location for innovative medical research and health care. As a member of our team, you can expect a diverse work culture that encourages staff to bring their whole selves to work.

You will require:

  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
  • Evidence of vaccination against certain diseases
  • Tuberculosis screening
  • Driver Licence
