About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our team at Hunter Valley Private Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the region. As an Administration Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional administrative support to our healthcare team, including managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and organizing appointments and admission paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including preparation of medical records, and perform Health Fund Checks as required.
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co payments and coordinate with staff from other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry and provide administrative support to our healthcare team as needed.

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and WebPas Hospital system (desired).
  • Health Fund eligibility knowledge.
