Job Description

We are seeking a Training and Development Professional to deliver high-quality training programs, including classroom-based and work placement.

The successful candidate will provide services and support to young people in a way that is aligned to the National Model of Care for Youth Services.

The role involves working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement quality initiatives, planning, designing, and scheduling vocational training courses, sourcing and contextualising training materials, and providing culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality training programs, including classroom-based and work placement
  • Provide services and support to young people aligned to the National Model of Care for Youth Services
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement quality initiatives
  • Plan, design, and schedule vocational training courses
  • SOURCE and contextualise training materials to meet learner needs
  • Provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
  • Record all client data, interactions, and assessments
  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment of students
  • Mark submitted assessments within the required time frame, providing meaningful feedback to learners

Requirements:

  • Relevant hospitality qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Current paid NSW Employee Working With Children Check
  • Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training and hospitality industry in Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training to diverse participant groups
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn database programs
  • Effective verbal and written communication, listening, and networking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
  • Compassion and professionalism in all actions and ethics
  • Energy, flexibility, initiative, and integrity with a positive and friendly attitude
