About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Rockhampton. As a key member of our QLD Operations team, you will be responsible for providing SHEQ support services on site, preparing safety management plans, conducting SHEQ audits, and assisting with inspections to ensure compliance with our systems and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety management plans to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct regular SHEQ audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide guidance and support to site personnel on SHEQ procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry
- Demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation
- Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to in-house Health safety Environment systems
- Robust understanding of Commonwealth Construction Safety legislation
- Excellent communication and management skills to lead, challenge, and improve safety practices on site
