About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Followmont Transport's Health and Safety team as a Safety Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the administration function and providing support to our Health and Safety team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including data collation, data entry, report creation, and promotional material development.
- Conduct internal audits and provide advice for continual improvement.
- Offer guidance and support to Supervisors and Managers in meeting their WHS obligations while providing exceptional operational service.
- Identify and contribute to safety improvements and safety and wellbeing programs.
- Facilitate the research and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), focusing on documenting operational tasks with all safety considerations identified.
- Undertake Risk Assessments and provide written reports.
- Coordinate, participate, and support meaningful Health and Safety Committee meetings.
- Coordinate and support emergency response training annual 'Evacuation' exercises throughout the company.
- Be available for travel as required.
Requirements:
- Cert IV Health & Safety – minimum of 3 years
- Previous experience in the field of health and safety
- Previous experience within the transport industry or warehousing is highly regarded
