- Develop and implement effective safety governance measures, systems, practices, and processes to facilitate best practice, legislative compliance, and the mitigation of corporate risks.
- Provide professional, authoritative, and timely strategic advice to senior executives on workplace safety initiatives, governance, and programs.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety strategies and initiatives to achieve organisational objectives and high-level business outcomes.
- Identify and investigate organisational safety operation issues and recommend change strategies to senior executives to drive business improvement and proactive safety culture.
- Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable reporting and analysis of workplace governance metrics and performance data.
- Tertiary level qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience in functional leadership, including strategic planning, project, and program management.
- High standards of written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar level role.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Ability to influence, coach, and engage with all stakeholders.
- Good skills using Microsoft Office suite.
