Followmont Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team as a Safety Advisor. This role will be responsible for driving the administration function and providing support within our Health and Safety team.

The Role

  1. Full-time permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule
  2. Company-provided laptop and mobile phone
  3. Providing administrative support, including data collation, entry, report creation, and promotional material development
  4. Internal auditing and providing advice for continual improvement
  5. Providing advice and support to supervisors and managers in meeting their WHS obligations while delivering exceptional operational service
  6. Identifying and contributing to safety improvements and safety and wellbeing programs
  7. Facilitating the research and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), focusing on documenting operational tasks with all safety considerations identified
  8. Undertaking risk assessments and providing written reports
  9. Maintaining a positive working relationship with all levels of the business to achieve strategic plans, objectives, and targets
  10. Coordinating and participating in meaningful Health and Safety Committee meetings
  11. Coordinating and supporting emergency response training and annual evacuation exercises
  12. Travel may be required

Requirements

  1. Cert IV Health & Safety with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  2. Previous experience in the field of health and safety
  3. Previous experience in the transport industry or warehousing is highly regarded
