Project OverviewThe project involves the construction of a 117-kilometre water pipeline, intake pump station, intermediate pump stations, reservoirs, and a water treatment plant. This essential water supply project will deliver 30 gigalitres of water annually, ensuring long-term water security for the region and supporting the burgeoning hydrogen industry in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Report on health and safety matters to the Health and Safety Manager and Construction Manager.
- Liaise with and advise construction personnel on risk mitigation and management.
- Conduct health and safety investigations and develop reports on incident investigations.
- Review site risk registers and support Construction Risk Assessment Workshops.
- Provide ongoing health and safety advice to Supervisors, Contractors, and site workers.
- Assist in reporting, investigating, and implementing corrective actions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience working in Health and Safety.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety.
- Experience within the Construction/Engineering sectors.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- A strong safety culture advocate.
