About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at ISS Integrated Serv P/L. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with ISS Integrated Serv P/L and client HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Consult with stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss, monitor, and assist staff in the safe delivery of onsite activities.
- Develop and deliver safety and toolbox meetings to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
- Conduct and advise on safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of return-to-work programs to support injured employees.
- Coach and mentor staff on HSEQ processes to ensure a culture of safety and compliance.
- Provide sound technical advice on health and safety matters.
- Identify and facilitate best practice standards and solutions to improve health and safety performance.
- Assist in incident investigations and prepare safety reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support the Site Safety Manager in their daily tasks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide on-site expertise for all health and safety matters, including environmental portfolio management.

Minimum Criteria:
- Certificate IV OH&S or higher.
- Knowledge of safety systems and databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation.
- Relevant industry experience as a HSE Advisor.
- Must have environmental background.
- Ability to undertake regular travel to site as per FIFO roster.
- Current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment or willing to obtain.
- Current Standard 11 Certificate or willing to obtain.
