Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at McMillan Shakespeare Limited. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and identifying new opportunities in the fleet and asset management sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed new business targets.
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to maintain a strong pipeline of current and future prospects.
- Actively manage client relationships to facilitate the successful acquisition of new customers.
- Capture, track, and report on all sales activity, including lead generation and pipeline activity.
- Pursue professional representation and involvement in industry forums and events to develop legitimate business relationships.
- Proactively identify and target quality prospects that will benefit from our range of products and services.
- Manage the execution of all sales proposals and quotes, in line with our sales process.
- Engage subject matter experts to influence customer uptake of our products and promote qualitative outcomes.
- Prepare and manage sales presentations to, and negotiations with, prospects to achieve growth targets.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in senior B2B sales, with a thorough understanding of fleet, finance, or asset management.
- Results-oriented, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in business-to-business markets.
- Strong strategic relationship building capability, with sound commercial acumen and confidence dealing with senior-level executives.
- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to cope with competing demands and successfully prioritize outcomes.
