Our team is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer who thrives on collaboration, communicates effectively, and brings a hands-on approach to geotechnical excellence. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of safety systems, geotechnical controls, and open pit operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading inspections to ensure the integrity of pit slopes, waste rock dumps, tailings and water storage facilities">
  • Contributing to ground control strategies to maximize resource recovery and support long-term planning">
  • Managing geotechnical projects from concept to completion, collaborating with technical and operational teams">
  • Mentoring junior staff members to foster a culture of safety, excellence, accountability and respect">

Requirements:

We are looking for a dynamic professional with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' geotechnical experience">
  • Proven supervisory experience in operations, technical services or project management">
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, geotechnical controls and open pit operations">
  • Solid knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements">
  • Advanced user of geotechnical modelling and CAD software">
  • Budget management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines">
