As a Geotechnical Engineering Professional, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of geotechnics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Develop functional work plans and processes for geotechnical projects.
  • Conceptualise, initiate, present and implement specific geotechnical improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and direction on underground mining areas.
  • Design mine levels and stope extraction plans, evaluating rock stress and stability.
  • Coordinate and execute geotechnical activities, including check scaling & rehabilitation plans.
  • Report on daily progress and compliance against project schedules.
  • Review and update the Ground Control Management Plan to ensure optimal results.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A current driver's license (Manual).
  • Experience with mine design software – Deswik.
  • Underground geotechnical experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
