POSITION OVERVIEW.

As a Cost Estimator focusing on subdivision projects, you will be instrumental in the pre-construction stage, ensuring that all financial estimates are thorough and competitive. This position demands a meticulous approach, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Analyze and interpret project documentation, including architectural plans and technical specifications, to create precise cost estimates.
  • Gather and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to guarantee optimal value for the project.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of costs, encompassing materials, labor rates, and subcontractor charges.
  • Support the development of tender documents and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Track project expenditures during construction to ensure compliance with budgets and manage any discrepancies effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Estimator in the civil construction sector, particularly with subdivision projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in estimation software and tools, capable of producing detailed and accurate cost assessments.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
