Fuse Recruitment is partnering with a leading industry player in Audio Visual installations to source a Senior Project Manager. This site and office-based role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams for the Installed Systems team, working on projects for sporting venues, theatres, schools, public precincts, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios, and councils.
  • Coordinate all resources and stakeholders, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor quality and performance, and summarize and communicate project progress and profitability.
  • Day-to-day management, including evaluating system and design systems, preparing and supervising documentation and equipment for installation, attending and/or supervising onsite implementation of projects, client liaison, evaluations, and reporting.
  • End-to-end management of the Project Delivery Division operations, including full project life cycle ownership, successful project delivery, and implementation from initiation to deployment.
  • Create project breakdowns and analyze costs associated with each section of a project.
  • Submit contract submissions and ensure installation documents are ready for the install team prior to commencement of installation.
  • Develop detailed bills of materials, purchase requisitions, and special requirement lists for action by various teams and departments.
  • Develop labor plans for projects, detailing the types of staff required each day.
  • Continually monitor operational costs versus budgets to ensure projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage contractors, including working with human resources on contract negotiations.
  • Complete general administration tasks and travel to various sites and businesses to undertake tasks in line with a Project Manager's role.
  • Consult with builders and/or customers regarding site requirements, work health and safety expectations, site inductions, and site-specific queries.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in project management and/or construction management with exposure to audio, network, and electrical systems or similar.
  • Minimum five (5) years proven project/contact management experience involving installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical.
  • Experience working in the installation and commissioning of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, including cable installations and structural integrity of materials.
  • The ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, design documentation, and specifications with an attention to detail when preparing material lists and project plans.
  • Commercial acumen, together with a strong understanding and capacity to meet client requirements with diplomacy and sensitivity to solving complex problems.
  • Proven practical experience with work health and safety principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing project plans, including the coordination and management of logistics, personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to recognize areas for improvement, create clear plans, communicate the plans to senior management level, and then successfully implement.
  • High-level organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks against strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication ability, including the ability to prepare accurate and relevant written reports and business communications.
  • High-level PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook, and understanding of CAD programs.
  • Excellent costing/estimating base, showing accurate margin delivery, coupled with solid commercial acumen and a strong financial focus.
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities and proven strength in leading and coaching teams.
