The role of Technical Specialist plays a pivotal part in providing high-level technical expertise to drive business objectives.
This position requires an individual who can offer strategic insight and support to ensure consistency of approach to factors impacting claims cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Manager, Tail and Claims Performance & Delivery to provide technical expertise for strategic claims management decision-making.
- Mentor and develop technical staff to achieve performance standards.
- Offer consistent and high-quality advice and sign-off support to technical staff.
- Provide regular analysis of audit results and implement frameworks to improve performance.
- Analyze claims trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure departmental procedures and training align with business objectives and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience handling complex Workers Compensation claims, particularly supporting small business clients.
- In-depth technical knowledge of personal injury claims and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively and build positive relationships.
