Project Risk Co-ordinator

At QinetiQ, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Risk Co-ordinator to join our team. As a Project Risk Co-ordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of our programs of work, comprising both services and deliverables for an ongoing business transformation program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate and provide advice to project teams on predicting risks.
  • Monthly review, predict risks, propose amendments with justification.
  • Manage and report risk using the Predict tool.
  • Prepare, support and inform corporate tasking, financial management, budget, risk and reporting processes including senate estimates.
  • Support resource planning including preparing for surge/scope changes, identifying and proposing solutions for improvements, recruitment, retention and clarification of roles and responsibilities.
  • Implement the necessary governance, processes, policies and procedures to support a successful program delivery.
  • Develop a strategy for project risk and issues management.
  • Consult with stakeholders and SME's to support risk and issues analysing and planning.
  • Support the project team through the development of risk management plans and analysis as needed.
  • Organise risk meetings and workshops to support analysis and planning.
  • Undertake planned and ad hoc risk and issues evaluation as required.
  • Assist in the delivery of the project's risk management outcomes.
  • Draft and review of project risk documentation, reports and briefs.
  • Develop and maintenance of a Risk and Issues Log.
Requirements:
  • Risk management experience within government acquisition projects, or program of projects.
  • Familiarity with government risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Technical, commercial, industry and/or management experience gained within a Defence environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confidence and self-motivation.
Desirable:
  • Experience in the maritime and Border Protection operations and projects.
  • Formal qualification/certification in Risk Management.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is preferred.
