Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Risk Coordinator

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Project Risk Coordinator to join our team at QinetiQ Limited. As a Project Risk Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of our programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and providing advice to project teams on predicting risks.
  • Monthly reviewing, predicting risks, proposing amendments with justification.
  • Managing and reporting risk using the Predict tool.
  • Preparing, supporting and informing corporate tasking, financial management, budget, risk and reporting processes.
  • Supporting resource planning including preparing for surge/scope changes, identifying and proposing solutions for improvements, recruitment, retention and clarification of roles and responsibilities.
  • Implementing the necessary governance, processes, policies and procedures to support successful program delivery.
  • Developing a strategy for project risk and issues management.
  • Consulting with stakeholders and SMEs to support risk and issues analysing and planning.
  • Supporting the project team through the development of risk management plans and analysis as needed.
  • Organising risk meetings and workshops to support analysis and planning.
  • Undertaking planned and ad hoc risk and issues evaluation as required.
  • Assisting in the delivery of the project's risk management outcomes.
  • Drafting and reviewing of project risk documentation, reports and briefs.
  • Developing and maintaining a Risk and Issues Log.

Requirements:

  • Risk management experience within government acquisition projects, or program of projects.
  • Familiarity with government risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Technical, commercial, industry and/or management experience gained within a Defence environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence and self-motivation.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in maritime and Border Protection operations and projects.
  • Formal qualification/certification in Risk Management.

Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is preferred.
