About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Risk Coordinator to join our Advisory business based in Canberra, ACT. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of our program of work, comprising both services and deliverables for an ongoing business transformation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide advice to project teams on predicting risks and developing risk management plans.
  • Review, predict, and propose amendments to risk management plans on a monthly basis.
  • Manage and report risk using the Predict tool, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare, support, and inform corporate tasking, financial management, budget, risk, and reporting processes, including senate estimates.
  • Support resource planning, including preparing for surge/scope changes, identifying and proposing solutions for improvements, recruitment, retention, and clarification of roles and responsibilities.
  • Implement necessary governance, processes, policies, and procedures to support successful program delivery.
  • Develop a strategy for project risk and issues management, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Consult with stakeholders and SMEs to support risk and issues analysis and planning.
  • Support the project team through the development of risk management plans and analysis as needed.
  • Organize risk meetings and workshops to support analysis and planning.
  • Undertake planned and ad hoc risk and issues evaluation as required.
  • Assist in the delivery of the project's risk management outcomes.
  • Draft and review project risk documentation, reports, and briefs.
  • Develop and maintain a Risk and Issues Log.
Requirements
  • Risk management experience within government acquisition projects or programs.
  • Familiarity with government risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Technical, commercial, industry, and/or management experience gained within a Defence environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence and self-motivation.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in maritime and Border Protection operations and projects.
  • Formal qualification/certification in Risk Management.
