Clinical Leadership Opportunity in Youth Mental Health

We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Samaritans, providing clinical leadership and direction to our centre teams in Maitland and Cessnock.
About the Role:- Provide clinical oversight, coordination, supervision, and positive leadership to our multidisciplinary mental health teams
- Utilise evidence-based interventions to improve service delivery and access to young people aged 12-25 years in the community
- Take a lead role in supporting headspace staff, private allied health providers, and collocated services to respond to clients presenting to headspace Maitland or Cessnock
- Assess young people in accordance with designated headspace governance tools and assist the Centre Manager to monitor the effectiveness of intake systems and referral pathways
- Assist with recruitment and training of clinical staff, coordinate intake team rosters, and oversee any outreach services provided by our services
- Tertiary degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or similar field
- Minimum 2 years' work experience in youth mental health settings, with demonstrated evidence-based clinical skills in assessment and working with young people and their families/carers
- Ability to advocate for improved accessibility for young people across various service systems, manage and monitor outcomes, and understand and commit to Child Protection legislation and OH&S principles
