We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Samaritans, a leading provider of mental health services for young people. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing clinical assessments and interventions to young people aged 12-25, as well as developing and maintaining referral pathways within the local service system. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic interventions, group work, and community awareness activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial intake and assessment of young people and develop treatment plans collaboratively
- Provide brief interventions and support to young people experiencing mental health issues
- Develop and maintain appropriate referral pathways within the local service system
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues affecting young people and their families
- Experience working with young people experiencing mental health issues and their families
