Project Leaders play a pivotal role in the delivery of complex construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of a 10-year project, ensuring timely completion, quality standards are met, and budgets are adhered to.

The Construction Lead will be accountable for managing resources, allocating tasks, and driving workflow to achieve project goals. This includes providing constructability input to design teams, reviewing progress against plans, and identifying potential risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project delivery in accordance with NEC4 processes
  • Assigning resources to deliver works within budget, time, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Providing constructability input to design
  • Reviewing progress against plans, contractual arrangements, and delivery milestones
  • Ensuring strong contract, commercial, and financial risk management

Additionally, the Construction Lead will be responsible for monitoring staff and labour resourcing, performing internal cost tracking and external cost reporting, and identifying and managing project changes.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess excellent leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to drive results. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or a related field, combined with relevant work experience managing medium to large projects.

Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders. Furthermore, they should possess advanced financial and commercial management skills, including cost reduction and meeting budgets.
