**Job Title:** Senior Court Reporter

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled court reporter to join our dynamic newsroom in Darwin.

As a senior court reporter, you will play a critical role in shaping our coverage of court proceedings and crime-related stories.

**Responsibilities:

  1. Research and produce comprehensive daily stories for local and national bulletins, focusing on court cases, crime reports, and justice-related issues.
  2. Deliver accurate and engaging accounts of legal proceedings, ensuring clarity and fairness for viewers.
  3. Work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or accuracy.
  4. Engage audiences by presenting court stories in an informative and compelling manner, adapting content for television and digital platforms.
  5. Monitor social media, legal bulletins, and local news outlets for breaking news and potential court-related stories.
  6. Provide innovative ideas for storytelling across television and online formats, especially on legal matters.

**Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in journalism with a strong track record in court reporting.
  2. Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent qualification.
  3. Excellent writing skills, on-air presence, and ability to produce stories tailored for TV news.
  4. Familiarity with legal terminology and court reporting procedures.
  5. Adaptability and agility in a rapidly evolving news environment.
  6. Strong organisational and time-management skills.

**What We Offer:

Nine Entertainment offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
