Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Executive Leader to join our team as a Production Leadership Opportunities role. This position offers a unique chance to drive operational excellence and lead high-performing teams.
About the Role
This high-profile role reporting to the General Manager will see you motivate and lead your team to safely deliver productivity improvements and cost reductions. You will define project objectives/schedules, identify critical activities, and monitor the schedule to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you will lead change in traditional approaches to mining, drive organisational change and operational discipline, truly inspire people to engage and be part of a high performing team, set a new high-performance benchmark, and lead a team of professionals to develop and integrate project deliverables through interfacing with broader BHP stakeholders at multiple levels.
Your Responsibilities
- Define project objectives/schedules, identify critical activities, and monitor the schedule to drive continuous improvement
- Lead change in traditional approaches to mining
- Drive organisational change and operational discipline
- Truly inspire people to engage and be part of a high performing team
- Set a new high-performance benchmark
- Lead a team of professionals to develop and integrate project deliverables through interfacing with broader BHP stakeholders at multiple levels
Requirements
You will have experience in a leadership role and significant experience within mining environments, have had operational, technical experience or motivation to be exposed to this area. You will have safety at the forefront of your mind when you develop solutions and engaging with people. You will utilise your strategic and analytical mind, stakeholder management as well as your excellent business acumen to coach your team in order to drive productivity improvements and setting new benchmarks in the industry.
