About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Central Early Childhood and Families Service (CECFS) in North Adelaide.

In this role, you will provide occupational therapy services to children aged 0-4 years, working collaboratively with a speech pathology service and other healthcare professionals.

You will be responsible for assessing and evaluating clients with developmental delays, prioritizing and organizing a complex caseload, and interpreting assessment results to inform treatment plans.

As part of our team, you will participate in planning and implementing quality client management programs, and work closely with families and carers to support their child's development.

This is a full-time position, with opportunities for part-time work available. You will be based in an office location in North Adelaide, with regular outreach visits to community sites.

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and experience working with vulnerable children and their families.

You will also have knowledge of child development principles, attachment theory, and social determinants of health.

The salary for this role is $88,255 - $102,240 per annum, pro rata, depending on your level of experience.

Key Selection Criteria

  • An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex and varied workload, including individual and group work in the early childhood field.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and attachment theory.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and their families.
  • Knowledge of the social determinants of health and their implications for service delivery.
