About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Central Early Childhood and Families Service in North Adelaide. As an Occupational Therapist (AHP2), you will provide a range of services to children aged 0-4 years, including assessments, interventions, and support for families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to children with developmental delays or disabilities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to develop individualized plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments using standardized and informal tools to identify client needs and goals.
- Prioritize and manage complex caseloads, collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote child development and improve family outcomes.
- Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to enhance access to resources and support for vulnerable populations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An appropriate degree in Occupational Therapy, registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and relevant experience working with early childhood populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, prioritizing communication and coordination to deliver high-quality services.
- Knowledge of child development principles, attachment theory, and the social determinants of health.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
