The Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary Allied Health Team. As a specialist resource for Guide Dogs SA/NT, you will work specifically within the Adult, Neurological and Children's Services areas.
This diverse role offers the opportunity to utilise your OT skills across a broad range of settings, including home modifications recommendations, equipment or assistive technology prescription and/or therapeutic interventions.
You will be working within a collaborative and flexible environment, prioritising the wellbeing and quality of life of our clients.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide direct vision-related services to clients and the community, assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing programs in hospital, school, home and community settings.
- Design, implement, monitor and evaluate consumer-focused vision rehabilitation programs using thorough and professional knowledge of allied health theories and methodologies.
- Prioritise and effectively manage your time to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Work autonomously providing care in client's homes and the community.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for Occupational Therapy registration.
- Experience within the area of neurological vision loss, assistive technology and/or early intervention would be highly advantageous.
- Willingness to work with clients across all age groups and backgrounds, including supporting those located in regional towns across South Australia.
