About the RoleThe Learning and Development Specialist will work within the L&D team and wider P&C business unit to design, deliver, and manage technical-based training programs that support employee growth and career development.
This role is dedicated to maximizing CDC's investment in areas like employee engagement, promotions, apprenticeships, and cross-functional transitions, playing a key role in driving the CDC Academy's mission to elevate employee expertise and career development.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development, administration, and enhancement of the CDC Academy's curriculum, resources, and delivery methods.
- Learning Framework Alignment: Align the learning and development framework with organisational goals and industry trends.
- L&D Solutions: Collaborate with teams to design and implement technical-based L&D solutions addressing specific business needs.
- System Management: Manage the functionality and accessibility of the Learning & Development system for all employees.
- Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to Line Management on L&D policies, programs, and best practices.
- Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with external vendors around technical capabilities into the CDC Academy, bringing ownership for the training course and modules internal.
- Compliance and Accountability: Track training materials and competency signoffs to ensure compliance and accountability.
This role would suit candidates from either a technical-based L&D background or someone with a strong technical background (data centres, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, etc.) looking to move into an L&D/training capacity.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with the wider business and external stakeholders to achieve learning strategy outcomes.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience within/knowledge of data centres would be highly desirable but not essential.
Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
