Business Operations Director

About the Position:
- Ensure effective operational management and oversight of business, finance, property, and administration functions.
- Develop strong communication and collaboration skills to work with staff, leaders, members, volunteers, and direct line management of Ministry Assistant Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to direct reports, fostering a productive work environment.
- Regularly review and present reports to Corps Officers and key leaders, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Manage volunteer coordination on Workday and liaise with Ministry Stream Leaders, promoting effective teamwork.
- Oversee Corps property function, including WHS compliance, SolvSafety incident reporting, maintenance, facilities hiring, security systems, key register, and equipment audits.
- Manage Corps financial function, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
- Support logistics, operations, and admin support for successful fundraising events.
- Assist Thrift Shop Manager with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Business Administration is desirable.
- At least 2 years' experience in administration is required.
- Post-secondary qualifications are highly regarded.
- Previous church or not-for-profit management experience is highly valued.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Strong people management skills, including volunteer management experience, are desired.
- Ability to support and work within the mission, vision, and values of Ringwood Corps and The Salvation Army.
- A current VIC Driver's Licence is required.
- A valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check is necessary.
- Willingness to undergo a national criminal history and work eligibility check.
