As Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing and developing operational staff to deliver exceptional results. You will oversee the maintenance service and workshop operation, maintain and optimize the hire fleet, develop and refine standard operating procedures for hire, safety, and customer communication, build strong relationships with clientele, act as their key liaison, enforce compliance with OH&S standards within the business, work closely with senior leadership to manage operational budgets, and generate regular operational reporting for performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop operational staff to deliver exceptional results.
  • Oversee the maintenance service and workshop operation.
  • Maintain and optimize the hire fleet.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures for hire, safety, and customer communication.
  • Build strong relationships with clients.
  • Enforce compliance with OH&S standards.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to manage operational budgets.
  • Generate regular operational reports.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience as an Operations Manager or Director in Equipment Hire.
  • Strong logistical planning and fleet management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management experience.
  • Dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Proficient in online platform tools and basic data-driven reporting.
  • Solid understanding of OH&S standards and mechanical equipment safety.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Base pay range: A$140,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr
