Operations Readiness Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Operations Readiness Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable start-up of our brownfield projects.

This position requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. You will work closely with our commissioning and operations teams to identify and address operational requirements, providing documentation, training, and support to ensure seamless handovers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the operational readiness delivery portfolio of brownfield projects
  • Tracking readiness deliverables, including spare parts lists, asset registers, O&M manuals, and vendor documentation
  • Liaising between commissioning and operations teams to identify and address operational requirements
  • Providing documentation, training, and support to ensure teams are prepared to operate and maintain systems
  • Participating in system walkdowns and punch list resolution
  • Driving continuous improvement and embedding risk-based approaches in all project phases
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical & Instrumentation)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial plants, with at least 2 years in operational readiness
  • Proficient in SAP (PM, MM) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Australian engineering and construction practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
